    Donnie Veal....optioned to AAA

    Reassigned to minor league camp

    Tony Sanchez...probably will end up at A+

    Veal needs to pitch. He has alot of potential. The majors isn't the place to do that. I like Uviedo.

    Veal is being groomed to be a starter. Huntington has this weird belief that everyone is a starting pitcher until they definitely prove to him other wise. With above average velocity and a strong showing in the AFL, Veal has potential to be a decent SP. A mid 90's fastball throwing lefty can't hurt

    I agree with Huntington on this. Most relief pitchers at the major league level are starters who couldn't either cut it as a starter or failed to be able to develop a third pitch. Very few minor league relievers amount to anything at the major league level.

    Veal missed out on a lot of work last year, let him start at AAA and get some innings in. His performance in Indy will dictate when he comes back up.
