    Default It's Vikings Week

This week the Steelers will have a strong test when the unbeaten Vikings come to town.
    The Steelers trail the all-time series 8-7 (4-4 home.2--4 road 1-0 neutral)
As far as history between these teams, about the only thing I can come up with is the Steelers 16-6 win in Super Bowl IX ,the first of the Steelers six titles. Maybe someone else can come up with something memorable in any game in this series,to be quite honest I've drawn a total blank.
The Vikes come into this game second in the league in scoring offense 31.5 ppg behind only the Saints. Defensively they are giving up 20.2 per game.
The Steelers offense is ranked 5th in yards per game and they are averaging 23.3 ppg Defenseivly they are ranked 3rd in yards allowed per game and are giving up an average of 18.7 ppg
One thing I found really suprising,as good a back as A.P. is (the best in the league in my opinion) the Vikings are only ranked 9th in rushing yards per game.
The Vikings are a dangerous team with A.P. Favre, whom I can't stand, but still can sling it and Allen who is a wrecking machine on Quaterbacks. The Steelers need their best effort to win this one, much better than they've shown so far.
    With that THE VIKINGS SUCK!!!

Honestly,I'm not all that scared of AP.Favre,on the other hand, scares the **** outta me only because our pass D is worrisome.Well, maybe with Troy being back it'll help..............if he's back to his usual self.

Somewhere online, a Vikes fan said that the predicted weather (mid-upper 40s and showery) wouldn't be a factor because it was what they (in Minnesota) called "sissy weather".

Is that why you play in a dome now?

Please tell me not all Vikes fans are this dense!

Seriously, this is the most stringent test so far this season. It will be interesting to see how the Vikes injuries affect their team. They seem to have a few problems/gaps in their depth chart, so losses or slow-downs in the upper echelons (Winfield, Harvin) may prove a bit of an obstacle.

Maybe this is finally the game where the pressure is perceived before kickoff and the guys actually feel they need to apply themselves in unison for 60 minutes. Kinda like a football team...

Yep! 15th ranked passing defense against Favre? Let's get out the brown paper bags, Brett needs some sack lunches! (I know I'm totally lame).

Just to think, last year we wouldn't have been worried at all. We could have easily stopped Favre in his tracks and had plenty of coverage on their wideouts.

I'm more worried about Denver than Minnesota.

If we can't slow down AP our field should

Does anybody know how he does when he visits Soldier Field or Lambeau? I know he is still a stud but going from turf to grass must have some effect on him.

Denver??????????? This team is a fraud. I fully expect the Chargers to beat the Broncos tonight and it wouldn't surprise me if it was by double digits. I also expect the Broncos who are hitting the meat of their schedule to slowly fall apart and their 5-0 start will probably end up being 10-6 or 9-7.

Maybe in a contradiction, I too pick the Chargers over the Broncos.
Hopefully you're right about us versus them.

Minnesota @ Green Bay November 1st.

Two games in Lambeau 45 yards and 103 yards. Two games in Soldier Field 121 yards and 224 yards.

AP scares me...our D gave up 4.0 YPC against the Browns...AND...we're without our best DL.

Putting an end to the retirement marathon would be sweet. Mr Harrison, I'm looking at you...

This is gonna be a tough game.... Should also be a good measuring stick as to how we'll do against good teams. Our schedule has been easy up till now, now the games get a bit tougher... Let's see how we do!

I feel confident we will keep AP at bay. Now DL just needs to let the dogs run loose on Brett..and knock him out of the game...then let their backup try to play.

Remember...the Vikunts are 2 plays away from having the same record as us...one was a prayer by Brett in the last seconds of the game...he didn't even know who caught it....and this past week they should have lost....that taught Harbaugh how much of an ******* he was for cutting Stover.

I can't wait to stick a fork in these ****ers and especially on Sunday night on national television. I am still not sold on this Bronco team or boy McDaniels.

That Schottenheimer firing really looks good right about now doesn't it Charger fans? What Norv has done to the Chargers is an absolute crime.

My fiance is a Favre fan. He told me that we were gonna get killed sunday so I told him that I hope Favre has a heart attack in the middle of the game. Ok, i know that's harsh but still
