BRADENTON, Fla. -- Pirates outfielder Ryan Church has a hairline fracture in a finger, and reliever Vinnie Chulk has tightness in his biceps, but each is expected to return to full action Sunday.

Church's left middle finger -- on his throwing hand -- slammed against the cement top of a dugout Saturday in Sarasota when he reached up to try to catch a teammate's foul ball.

"Never did that before in my life," Church said. "And I'll never do it again."

Church hit off a tee this morning in the indoor cage, and he is on the schedule to play in one of the split-squad games Sunday.

"It's nothing," he said. "I'm fine."

Chulk, a strong candidate for a bullpen spot, has not pitched in the past four games because of the tightness in his right biceps, but he, too, is on the schedule for Sunday. He originally was set to pitch tomorrow, so he likely lost no more than an appearance or two.
