Default Let the Tebowgasm commence! :s

    http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/spo...abb-trade.html

Tim Tebow never gloated over his endorsement viability in recent interviews, but it was only a matter of time before one of the conglomerates scooped him up.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter just tweeted Tebow signed a Nike shoe and apparel deal “paying him just under $300,000 per year, with incentives to add more.”

Expect Gatorade and EA Sports to follow, especially if Tebow continues to gain first-round momentum. Tebow has done promotional work for EA Sports, possibly for the NCAA Football 2011 game.

Tebow also signed a deal with Palm Beach Autographs that could be well into the six-figure range for a number of autograph signings.

Of course, Nike could be doing themselves out of some trade - what happens if they create a shoe with an immortal sole...?

Ah, the Curse of Ryan Leaf: It may not apply only to people named Ryan Leaf.

He is not gonna be a bust pending where he is drafted. He is not an NFL top-grade qb, and will probably not be drafted as such. Personally, I'd like to see him drafted as a TE... Some of you folks need to give the kid a break.

Says probably the ONLY Florida fan on the board...

... But that's not the point.

Do you fault him for going after his new-found money with Nike endorsements? Do you fault him for trying to be the best collegiate player he can be?... Or do you fault him due to all the media coverage that is beyond his control?.... Just wondering....

Well, I fault anyone that is getting all worked-up over stuff the media is creating... Same can be said of the Brett Favre junk... The PLAYER is not asking for interviews or asking for media attention... It is done solely by media ****s such as ESPN... The "overblown" aspect falls on their shoulders.

I'm sure Nike will find something Tebow can market!

Bust is a bit strong. Tebow is humble, he won't be coming into the NFL thinking he is the greatest thing since sliced bread (e.g. Jamarcus Russell or Ryan Leaf). He has a strong work ethic and the desire to want to learn and win. I think under the right guidance of someone like Mike Holmgren or even Bill Belichick he just may amount to something.

I say any team that picks him up in the 3rd or 4th round is definetly getting a good pick. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if the Steelers picked him up and groomed him to possibly replace Batch.
