They showed him in the owner's box during the Eagles game theother day.I thought he was dead,man.DEAD.
That is exactly what I said. Like Weekend At Bernie's
"He had no teeth, and he was slobbering all over himself. I'm thinking, 'You can have your money back, just get me out of here. Let me go be an accountant." I can't tell you how badly I wanted out of there." Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Willie doesn't seem to believe he's not still the starter.

Parker, who has been nursing a turf toe injury for the past three weeks, said Wednesday that the reason why he didn't start last week against Cleveland and won't start this week against Minnesota is because he isn't completely healthy.

"I am not ready to take the load right now," Parker said. "When I am ready, we will make another decision."

Parker has had a daily dialogue with Tomlin and let him know that he is physically unable to carry the ball 25-30 times a game.

"I am not 100 percent," Parker said. "Everybody knows I am not 100 percent. I am not ready to take 30 carries. When I am healthy, I will let you know."

Naming Mendy the starter is the right call. He runs harder and has the size/speed combination that can help us win. Besides, he seems to be able to catch the ball well.

Wow! I hope he doesn't really believe the only reason he is not the starter is because he is not 100% healed. This is where I have a problem.

First, if he isn't 100% healthy then why the **** is he playing? Is he afraid of something? Maybe losing the starting position which he already lost?

Second, if he isn't 100% healthy then why do the coaches have him in the game? Why do they continue to kiss this guys ***?

And what is up with the bull**** where he said when I am ready "WE" will make another decision. What makes him believe he has any say so in who is the starter? This stupid **** along with his play is the reason I hate this ****** bag.

I'm sure he is worried about losing his position, which apparently, has already happened... And we all know that the players want to play even though not 100% and it's a fine line on where to make that decision...

(... BTW, these opiniions you expressed about being 100% could also be applied to Troy...)

Troy at 80% to 90% is still a pretty effective player for us. He has also earned the right to play when he says he can play. Willie has not and he is obviously out there for one reason and one reason only. He is afraid of losing his starting position which is a "me" only attitude. I don't believe Troy is out there because he is afraid of losing his starting position and that is the difference between the two situations.

Willie Parker has annoyed me about as much as Ian Snell did before he was traded from the Pirates...just shut up and get the hell out.

Well, with the success of Mendy thus far, I think it's a safe bet we won't be seeing him (Parker) in the black-n-gold next season...

LVG, I agree completely that they are two different situations. I just think that any player should be healthy (or as close to it) before hitting the field... Granted Troy is different, but I just about threw-up when he hobbled off last week... As for Parker, if we can get any use out of him this year, great... Then "so long, sucker"...

Some players when they leave the team I root for I appreciate all their work and effort and say so. But guys like Ian Snell and Willie Parker I just want to say get the hell out and leave my team alone.

    Hey...

They bench Parker for Mendy this season and he may be cheap to re-sign.
