    Default Sweed

Is this guy digging his hole deeper and deeper with each passing game?

At what point do you give up on the guy? He's been paid his bonuses, but now is it time to consider that roster spot?

He definately didnt help his cause by dropping the only pass that came his way today.

On the bright side, Wallace looks like something special! I was a bit disheartened by his drop (and moreso by his "delay" penalty), but he made a tougher catch to ammend it! This just in: WALLACE IS FAST!!!

The first time I saw him on the field on that 3rd and 5 I said 'Here it comes Sweed' and the ****er drops the ball AGAIN! I like that Ben tries to go back to guys after a drop, drops etc. to try and get their confidence back just like he did with Wallace but, sometimes that doesn't seem the best course of action. I don't recall seeing Sweed out there again. Why did he get a helmet today?

No doubt that Sweed has been a bit of a disappointment. But, I have a strange (and sickningly optimistic) feeling that this guy is going to make a clutch play that reverses his fortunes...otherwise, he can kiss his "fortunes" good-bye

2 thoughts when I see his name:
    1. Guessing he didn't graduate from college, wonder what his major was? He may be using some of his signing money to register.
    2. NFL WR: career objective: catching passes.........not working out too good for him right now.

    No one can say...MT isn't giving him....chances.

I'm being totally serious here, but I think the guy should be talking to a sports physiologist. I think the "drops are so in this guys head, that it's at the point,he needs some help.

That's a great point. Although that one pass he had thrown his was wasn't in the breadbasket, it was catchable - but still yet another dropped pass that does nothing but kill his confidence.

I have no love or faith for Willie anymore. I have seen to many games now where he adds nothing to our offense. It's amazing that Mendenhall actually makes our offensive line look respectable. I was actually proud of those guys yesterday.

My hopes for Sweed are dwindling quicker than my available come-backs to Bengal fans right now... Either way, it's safe to say that Wallace is the solid #3 guy now IMO.

Your come back for Bungles fans will be wait until Nov 16? That will be the Monday they wake up from their dream. I fully expect a Steeler *** kicking on November 15th. If we don't beat the Bungles by double digits I will be thoroughly surprised. I have a feeling it will be for the top spot in the North and considering we already lost to them this will be a beatdown.
Plus, I am sure Chad will say something stupid that week which will fire us even more.

Right. Unfortunately for Sweed, Wallace's play has not helped the tolerance level for his slow start.

Not being facetious here, he might need to visit a optician. If his hand/eye co-ordination is off because his eyes focus at the wrong point, he might not be able to get a good grip on the ball as it gets to him.

That didn't seem to bother him in college.

He's just having a hard time getting his legs in the pros, and he's going to have to get them pretty soon.
