Maybe it wasn't just the Pens.

    Washington
    Detroit
San Jose (not that, that's a suprise)
    New Jersey

A lot of good teams losing in the first game. Outside of perhaps Detroit, it makes you wonder if tee better teams that were guaranteed a spot earlier were caught off guard by teams that had been playing harder to get spots up until the end of the season... that momentum carried in

And Ovary didn't even have a shot on goal. Ain't that a pity?

Looks like some of the lesser teams have come into the playoffs trapping the hell out of teams. not truly trapping, I have no idea what the GHabs did to the Caps, and Ottawa wasn't using a traditonal trap against us.... but the goals are similar - slow the opponent through the neutral zone and don't allow the chance to set up in the offensive zone.

I didn't watch th Red wings game but I read some comments that this is what happened to them as well and Vancouver was locking up neutral ice against the Kings last night too.

This is pretty fun, seeing all of these teams lose on their home ice

Not so much fun, that was our team!!!

I haven't spoken much on this series yet. Not sure if this is even the right thread but I just have to ask wtf is it with everyone talking about a Senators sweep or them having the chance to win it on home ice? It's one game ffs. We have been a road team all year anyway. We got the secondary scoring we were looking for we just need MAF to wrap some seran around the net. The defense - **** it we don't have scuds anymore there is little chance they are going to start shutting it down all of a sudden now. Let's go Pens!!!

People are talking about the Senators sweeping us? Seriously? they couldn't sweep us back in 06-07 when we had ZERO cups and ZERO experience and had a legit Stanley cup team with a lot more talent than they have now.

We'll have to see tonight, but I think the Sens game plan caught the Pens by surprise. A few minutes in the video room, a few minutes at the dry erase board and a good practice or 2 on breaking the Sens scheme and we'll be fine. I mean, seriously, we were able to beat a more sophisticated system and scheme in Detroit against better talent

To say "everyone" is an exaggeration but I have def heard talk of getting swept. **** is ridiculous. I keep hearing about how the folks at the Igloo were booing and leaving in the middle of the 3rd. Jeezuz H that is shameful.
