Default Six Days Until Draft Time.....

I'm psyched and, naturallly, will be out of town!! At least there are casinos in San Diego!!

No reaching for a WR and trade down in the First only if you still can get an extra Third and be sure you can get Pouncey or Odrick.

Short of that, stay at #18 and pick Thomas, Iupati, Dan Williams, McClain or Haden, if either of ther latter two falls that far!

The draft position feels odd. There's no clear strategy to adopt - it's all down to how the guys in the War Room want to go for it. This time next week, we could be applauding, *****ing or maybe both!

    "Both" is almost guaranteed.

In a funny way, I am curious about the Fifth Round and how they handle four picks.

I see a WR no sooner than the Third and the one I have my eye on--I think--would delight this board and be a bold pick.

I also hope they select Nate Byham in the Fifth or Sixth and drop our current "blocking TE," Spaeth, who can't block.

Well, I've been shamelessly promoting a chap I think could be useful and might still be there in the fifth round - I guess we'll see!

I don't want to mention my guy's name for fear--as my mother an father used to say--"you'll put the evil eye on him," meaning he'll get picked before the Steelers get a chance to select him.

    God bless those two!!
