Default Ben Back On His Bike?

Yea... It's a REAL slow news time for our team...

I know it references an incident from a while back, but I could'a sworn that Ben had said he was done with riding stupidly... Wonder if he's still doing it?

Wonder if the "KDKA Investigators" are hot on the trail of this big story?

[HIGH-LIGHT]Sports Illustrated's lengthy cover story last week on Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger contained this interesting nugget: A few months after Big Ben's near-fatal motorcycle accident in 2006, a KDKA-TV reporter and cameraman were driving on the Parkway East when they spotted Roethlisberger back on his bike -- sans helmet.

They began shooting footage of Big Ben, who flashed an obscene gesture, but the video never aired. Sports Illustrated suggested the story was killed because KDKA, which televises most Steelers games and has a marketing partnership with the team, didn't want to damage its relationship with the organization.[/HIGH-LIGHT]

The station's news director, John Verrilli, and its current assistant news director, Anne Linaberger, deny the video existed. But Sports Illustrated reported that several of its sources had viewed the footage.

This is big news to Steelers fans, but neither Marty Griffin nor Andy Sheehan reported for KDKA on Sports Illustrated's findings. How odd.

Many of Ben's problems today are the result of his continued acts of recklessness, he just didn't get it and refused to change his behavior.

My hope for Ben is that this suspension and public reaction has sent him a loud and clear message and that he will now become a better person and player for it. Just think how good Big Ben would be if he actually studied film and worked hard at his craft instead of taking his God-given talents for granted?

My advice for Big Ben...He needs to start acting like a 28-year old, not an 18-year old!

That story seems perfectly believable to me from both sides. Definitely something Ben would do, and definitely something the station would do. The local media really fears getting on the Steelers bad side.
