This would be an over reaction. I think he needs to be optioned when Pearce comes back so he can play everyday and see if he can figure things out.

Seriously...Two on /Two out... Russell runs up an 0/4 Clement??? A pinch hitter apparently was not an option... Perhaps Russell needs DFA'd...

Again an overreaction. Clement's up to see what he can do. On one hand we have folks saying he needs to play every day, on the other you say we should DFA him.

News Flash...we're not going to win the pennant this season.

When exactly do you propose we see what guys are capable of in clutch situations?

i was at the game today, clement looked like garbage during every at bat. Laroche needs to do something and soon. Walker is absolutely stunning. Great range, nice arm, loads of guts at the plate and in the field. You would think he faces cy young winners on a daily basis. Doumit, for whatever reason, couldnt throw out a toddler trying to steal. Dorf really labored out on the mound but never gave up that big inning. Cutch was cutch out in center, fast as hell and smooth as glass. Great game we really should have won.

Personally for me, I say either play him the majority of the time or when Pearce comes back, send him to AAA to play everyday. That way, maybe he figures it out and gets some confidence built up.

    Demote, perhaps yes.

    DFA? Assinine.

I am 50/50 on Clement. If he's gonna stay on the Big Team, he needs to be playing every day. THAT'S how you evaluate him. He's not gonna cost us runs in the field.

If he's NOT gonna play every day (or at least the majority of the time), send him down.

    Clement blows ....Laroche blows.

When Pearce comes back option Clement to AAA, hopefully he can work things out there.

Laroche and Aki should play 3rd until Petey comes up. Give Laroche the majority of the starts but get Aki in there once in a while....maybe Aki gets 2/3 starts a week.

People say stuff like this and then complain that Jose Bautista is leading the Majors in HR. Be consistent about it. Either you want a quick switch or not.

I want JR to run him out there every day and let him go 0-5. As soon as he goes 3-5 or hits a a couple of homers and appears to be turning it around then you yank him and park his butt on the bench until he cools off. That's they way you handle Jeff Clement..... apparently

People do you realize you are calling for steve Pearce to play everyday. he sucks Pearce is nothing more than a back up 1st basemen. Clement has the power we want give him clsoe 400 Ab and see if can be lefty MCthump that we have been looking for. if he can not make th adjustmen we can play Jones at 1st next year.

Doumit sucks sure he might have a plus bat but he has a minus arm and glve. He is trying to convience Russel to let him play 1st so he can play every day. Russel please dont consider it. I hope we move him cause they ain much of a drop off from him to JJ.
