I immediately was sent this travel location and the interesting video on how this "Stonehenge" might have been built.

How the heck might it have been built was a challenge the "ROCK MOVER" Wally Wallington tackled and demonstrated in this Video... Please click it on and see what can accomplished, if you can put your mind to it.

Now that is great! ......... ... Do you have a traveled location you would like to share with us?... Please do and let us know NOW!

The Seven Wonders of the World (or the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World) is a widely known list of seven remarkable constructions of antiquity. It was based on guide-books popular among Hellenic sightseers and includes only works located around the Mediterranean rim. Later lists include those for the medieval world and the modern world.

The original Seven Wonders of the World consists of: The Great Pyramid of Giza (the most ancient as well as the only surviving structure), the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, the Mausoleum of Maussollos at Halicarnassus, the Colossus of Rhodes, and the Lighthouse of Alexandria.

How Romantic! The New 8 Wonders of the World...

(The Ancient Hanging Gardens of Babylon)

Surely, you've heard of the seven wonders of the world, right? But did you know that only one of the original ancient "seven wonders" still exists? (The Pyramids at Giza, Egypt).

Well, in 1999, Swiss adventurer Bernard Weber launched a campaign to name 7 Modern Wonders of the World. Almost 200 nominations came in, and the list was narrowed to the 21 most-voted by the start of 2006.

The finalists were then voted on in a global poll. About 100 million votes were cast by the Internet and cellphone text messages, said New7Wonders, the nonprofit organization that conducted the poll. Weber's Switzerland-based foundation aims to promote cultural diversity by supporting, preserving and restoring monuments.

    And the winners are:

    1. The Great Wall of China

    2. Rome's Colosseum

    3. India's Taj Mahal

    4. Jordan's Petra

    5. Peru's Machu Picchu

    6. Brazil's Statue of Christ Redeemer

    7. Mexico's Chichen Itza pyramid
Oops! The Giza pyramids were left off the list! Egyptian officials were highly insulted by this, so they were assured by the foundation of retaining their status in addition to the new seven. So, that makes 8...

Some of the nominated landmarks which lost out included: the Eiffel Tower, Easter Island in the Pacific, the Statue of Liberty, the Acropolis, Russia's Kremlin and Australia's Sydney Opera House, Cambodia's Angkor, Spain's Alhambra, Turkey's Hagia Sophia, Japan's Kiyomizu Temple, Russia's Kremlin and St. Basil's Cathedral, Germany's Neuschwanstein Castle, Britain's Stonehenge and Mali's Timbuktu.

The traditional seven wonders were concentrated in the Mediterranean and Middle East. That list was derived from lists of marvels compiled by ancient Greek observers. Besides the Giza pyramids, they included: The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, the Colossus of Rhodes and the Pharos lighthouse off Alexandria. They have all vanished.

Take a peek at the new 8 wonders (they are wonderful)!

As usual I could always count on you viz for a great post. Those were so many historic locations to visit... Here is one where my wife Mary (with an Irish history) also wanted to go and take me fishing in those salmon and trout waters... like this Irish Lass.

It a beautiful fish and beautiful lady.

In addition, here is a good tour by professional fisherman Alan Hanna of Ireland and fishing the various waters... It's worth the 12 minute to visit...for that trip you may never have a chance to take. Please click it on here. Click the upper left "you tube" sign to view if necessary"

I know if my wife was wanting to go on a trip, it wouldn't be for fishing
Couple years ago my son took her for a tour of Montenegro, they also used these roads to which I've been told; have a lot to be desired.

I stayed at home and the Mrs said she enjoyed the time over there
______ maybe, cause I didn't go. I'm glad she enjoyed the trip.
