    Default Dumb Question

I know that scouts area always at games but I read that the Devils had several scouts/management personnel there last night since they are playing us tonight...and that got me thinking...do scouts have to buy tickets? Are tickets set aside for them? Is there like a "scouts box"? Do they have to go to ticketmaster? Do they have to go to stubhub/ebay etc if they cant get tickets through ticketmaster?

Anyone know the specifics of how that works?

Seriously? I doubt such action is NHL sanctioned/approved.

I know PNC park has a scouts box, and they don't have to pay. I'm not sure about Mellon Arena though. I would guess it's the same.

Thanks El Sid...Just was wondering how that worked. So they must have ID badges or something to get in free? Wonder if they have to call ahead or what?

Well, I guarantee they don't pay for those tickets themselves. As for how they get in, my first guess would be that the Penguins have a certain amount of tickets set aside for stuff like this, because usually when they put up shots of the scouts and talk about them, they are usually sitting in regular seats.
