Hines Ward on Bengals acquiring Terrell Owens: 'I feel for Carson (Palmer)'

Hines Ward became the second member of the Pittsburgh Steelers in as many days to poke fun at the Cincinnati Bengals' acquisition of Terrell Owens.

Steelers offensive lineman Max Starks said Friday that the Bengals were "trying to become the Miami Heat of the NFL."

On Saturday, Ward expanded on that in comments to the New York Post:

"(Terrell Owens), Antonio (Bryant) and Chad (Ochocinco) together? I feel for Carson (Palmer). We'll see how Carson handles that."

Owens and Ochocinco have consistently brushed off criticism of putting the high-profile receivers together since Owens joined the team earlier this week. Both have said there will be enough passes to go around.

Maybe if Palmer gets any *****ing, he'll follow the Romo model and just keep giving it to the TE.

Personally, as much as I hate the Bungles.... I really think we should keep the pie-holes shut... They swept us last season, and in this league, it's all about "what have you done for me lately"...

Here is the comment by Starks....
    --------------

    Jul 31, 2010
Max Starks: With Terrell Owens, Bengals 'trying to become the Miami Heat of the NFL'

LATROBE, Pa. -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have issues of their own, but offensive tackle Max Starks couldn't resist Friday when asked about the addition of Terrell Owens to the division rival Cincinnati Bengals.

Owens joins Chad Ochocinco at wide receiver in Cincinnati, which claimed the AFC North title last year.

"If they can get two quarterbacks in at the same time with two footballs, it will be a very good system," said Starks.

" ... They're trying to become the Miami Heat of the NFL. We'll see how that works."

I'm not ready for humility with the bungles. I'm not sure that they swept us because they were good, but because we were mailing it in last year.

Football season has now officially began. Let's grab our popcorn 'cause it's about showtime. I have a feeling Carson is going to have a hard time hitting his receivers a whole lot with Deebo and Wood in his face looking down at him. Just in case lets get a cardboard cutout of Kimo on the field.
