If there isn't a better kicker out there, we gotta keep him. We somehow have to get him on house arrest/home detention.

Ok,now subtract the ones that don't kick on ****ty fields in horrible conditions.
Well....umm...Brett Swenson, Andrew Aguila, Steve Aponavicius all kick in bad weather outdoors...Swenson is probably the most notable of the above.

I like Leigh Tiffin though...bigger, muscular guy...pretty good leg too. I dont know how he'd do @ Heinz in the winter.

Get rid of the drunk NOW!. Short kickoff with a heartless wiff at a tackle. What bull****. Dump the alcoholic ******* tommorrow Tomlin.

If we are relying on Reed to make tackles on the kickoff then we have other problems.

It is expected that he make the tackle per say...just to make a better attempt to hopefully slow the runner till the calvary arrives.

Its protocol for him to force the runner back to the inside so someone else can make the tackle...and Reed couldn't even do that.

But still not the point... If he's out there engaging the runner trying to make the tackle, there are more serious issues to discuss with the ST which would be the coverage because the kicker is the last reserve... Someone else isn't getting the job done.... Which isn't a big suprise with this group. They are "hit or miss" anyway....

Yeah, I dunno, man. He's not gonna plant anyone into the ground that's for sure. Sepultura, on the other hand..You know he's gonna stick his ****in head in there and try at least. Reed, not so much.. He' s a ****in ******bag, but we gotta live with him for the rest of this year anyhow. If he keeps making kicks and is on his best behavior for the rest of this season I can live with it. He never could kick off, so that point is kindda moot.

If he wants to kick in the NFL next season, I would think he would want to follow that path of not being a drunken dick and just play football.

IMO ST's seem pretty consistent this year...more so than past years. Granted there is a break down in coverage if the kicker has to make the tackle, however his attempt still has to be better. He shoved him......as if he was right on the sidelines....which he wasn't ...so he needs to sacrifice his body every now and then....******** in my book.

Not true, Reed has a uniform on and he is on the field. I just saw Rackers make a tackle for Arizona. What's Reed's excuse? He's not called upon too often to make a tackle but He is part of the ST so he better come up with a tackle once in a while when the situation arises.

True. He's part of the roster and needs to step up in ALL aspects of the game when called upon.

Right, I don't expect Reed to get all Jack Lambert and **** a guy up.....but just be there when the St's need you on a busted ko return. Slow him down grab his mask if you have to, at least its better than letting him score.

But you know what? **** it, we won and Reed made all his fgs. That's all that matters.

No, I mean I agree with you. Big Ben is our QB but when called up he's shown he's willing to save a TD...just look at the Indy game in 2005. Jeff Reed is a part of the team--although maybe not after this season LOL--and he could at least show up to give his all in ALL aspects of his game.

It's cool, I knew what you were getting at- I'm just saying at this point we've done a ton of Reed bashing, warranted- but not going to do any good to just keep: ......or maybe notlol

Reed is what he is. We have to put up with him for this year.
