    Default Offensive Line

What did you guys think of our offensive line ? I have this question too for you experts. When a player is a tackle, what determines them from choosing between being either a right tackle or left tackle ? Do right hand players play the right position or do they play left tackle or vise versa ?

They did good for this exibition.
Thats about it for the starters. I thought the depth is starting to show.
I'm being slightly sarcastic, but they were better than an opponent who could not cut the mustard.
I think Flozell might make it, untill he brain ****s again.

I think the backups play better than the starters. Not impressed with Adams. Has the slowest feet I've seen in a longtime. Pass rushers won't run over him because he's so big, but stunts and outside side pass rushers will annihilate him.

Pouncey is impressive. Follows in the long history of Mansfield, Webster and Dawson.

If Adams starts, they will need a RB to "chip" speed rushers or the TE on his side to help block, but I am not ready to give up on him.

    Pouncey should start.

I actually didn't notice how Scott did at RT when he was in there... Did anyone else?

I thought the starting O-line looked about the same as last year, ie, not very good. Adams looks really bad and slow in pass protection. Wasn't Scott supposed to be given a chance with the starting O-line? Didn't see him out there, hopefully he'll get a chance next game, he can't be much worse than how Adams has played so far. I also thought the backups looked better than the starters. Pouncey looked great.

I too thought our backups matched up better than the Giants backups but, that always seems to be the case each preseason to me. Other than Pouncey you could argue our first string o-line might have trouble getting a starting position on another team.

I'd go; Starks Kemo Pouncey Foster Essex

Great, no but an improvement in what we've seen so far in 2010, yes.

Hills Scott Urbik Legs gives plenty of backup flexibility.

Adams is going to have to make meteoric strides in the next two weeks to earn about 8 mil of garanteed money.

Hartwig could be kept if Urbik or Legs can go to the practice squad and they want his leadership for one more year.

I'll be honest... In my opinion, I'm not sure I want to keep Hartwig if Pouncey beats him out. Too much other potential talent to be left hanging otherwise... Urbik has been somewhat of a even further disappointment from what I've been reading... Hills and Scott are apparently showing some serious promise... As for Adams, I think we are seeing why Dallas cut him.

Aside from what you just said,Hartwig costs too much to keep as a backup. He will be cut unless he could be used as a guard.

Would be an expensive luxury but then again you can't be certain of how well pouncey will work out and Hartwig can play some guard too. It's not my money so I am in favor of keeping him. Blozell can die in a fire.

Well... We all know he's too slow to get out of it....
