My wife likes the Reeses, so I'll probably grab a pack to distract her from the huge amout of sugar I'm taking in. Peanut butter is a fairly small market in the UK, so I've seldom consumed it. It seems to be everywhere here, though.

Plus a huge amount of maple syrup. The chap who owns a local diner recommended sausages, pancakes and syrup one day. It was a bit boggling at first but a chap could get used to it.

Battered, deep-fried Mars bars... That's a fine delicacy!
Do they still make Mars bars??They sure as hell dont sell them around here.

Ever hear of this little known thing called 'google'?

You can find out anything using it.

    For example...

    Look at this search.

    http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...=Les+is+a+homo

Bet you didn't know that Les is a film star, now did ya?

    Get him...get him.

Yes, indeedy! An Englishman in the North Boroughs. There aren't many around these parts. I did meet a Scotsman in a local bar a couple of years ago but he was about to go back to the UK.

I lost my voice yesterday from the return action alone in the 4th Q yesterday!!! That was a game that will be remembered for a long time! I feel ya Bleed...there is nothing better than Stiller Sundays (bye weeks leave ya feelin a little empty)! What a great October for Da Stillers!
I never went from such a ****in high ...so fast ..to a ****in low....after the fumble TD...to the kick off return TD.

That 4th quarter alone was the most tense quarter of football I have watched in a long time...and then...just when things were looking REALLY BAD for us...them getting ready to score...time running out...and ...BAM...****in INT....and then returned for another TD...OMFG.
I'll bet I sounded just like Rick Flair throughout my neighborhood with all the loud WOOOOoooo's. LMAO

Avoid the Chav areas, if possible. The good news for me is that I've always enjoyed museums or just getting out and enjoying space if I can, so that's like Kryptonite to chavs.

It all depends which part of the UK you're visiting.

And Les, yes, Mars bars are still plentiful.

Should have gone last weekend...could have gone to an NFL game.

Or wait and go next year after you know what game(s) will be scheduled...might be the Steelers

Yeah...that's frustrating as hell. I hate what Goodell is doing to the league.

Trying to float a UK based team would be a disaster. If the league are uncomfortable with the popularity of the Jags and that market, this would drive them crazy.

In the mean time, London is chock-a-block with interesting bits (Hitler didn't quite manage to bomb all of them) and museums. It also has its share of idiots (mind you, so does most of the known world) and pickpockets. I suggest the Natural History Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Classical section of the National Gallery. They used to have a huge painting of, I seem to recall, one of the dukes of Marlborough on horseback, in full late 17th century armour. It was a larger than life painting (literally - it was about 14 feet by 10) and it was on a landing art way up one of the main staircases. Surprised the crap out of me when I rounded a corner and came face-to-horse with it (admittedly, I was about 8 at the time).

Cambridge and Oxford have some very nice archetecture and museums, too. On the way between them, you might want to visit the Imperial War Museum at Duxford.
