    Default It's Browns Week!!!

This weeks opponent is the Steelers oldest rival, the Cleveland Browns. The Steelers lead the all-time series 59-55 (37-21 at home 22-34 road 2-0 playoffs.
These teams have met twice a year since 1950,except 1996-98 when the Brown's left town for Baltimore.
The Steelers are 18-3 against "new Browns" and have won 11 in a row dating back to 2003.
As far as memorable games in this series I think back to the 70's with Turkey Jones slamming Bradshaw to the ground, the 2002 playoff gamethe 1999 loss with Kent Graham .
The Steelers need this one to get a win in the division and move to 4-2. Should happen but....... with that THE BROWN'S SUCK

This will be the one game on our schedule I fear the least. I would give Troy a rest this week even if he is healthy enough to play. I just don't see how this team can even think about beating us at home.

I'm with you there. I'd be totally shocked if the Brown's come within 17 points of the Steelers.

I say it will be 27 - 0 at some point before we call off the dogs. Then we will watch as Anderson carves up the middle of the field. The Browns will score 21 unanswered. The defense will make a stop on the Browns final possession preserving the 27-21 score.

I'm in the middle on whether to play or sit troy for this one. On one hand it will be a good warm up game to get up to game speed, get the reflexes back etc... before facing rela competition and quarterbacks, like Favre and the Vikings the following week. Would rather him shake the rust against the Browns than the Vikings, on the other hand, we don't need him to beat the Browns so it would be wise to sit him another week and make sure the injury is fully healed. Tough choice

Good point. However, I think Troy could sit for weeks and not miss a beat when asked to start.

Tough to say. Coming off an injury like he has, players are usually more in a worried state of mind that they don't reaggrivate it. Practice also doesn't simulate game speeds and stuff so who knows how his cutting ability and things like that are with this injury. It would almost be expected for him to hesitant in his first game back and doing more of a testing of what he feels comfortable with. You'd rather he do that against the Browns than the Vikings.

I forgot to mention one of the best Steeler/Brown highlights of all time. James Harrison pile driving that idiot Brown's fan that ran onto the field

Sorry to interrupt with some football talk lol but I think Troy should go if he is ready. They can always pull him back out if he isn't feeling right. Or maybe even just leave him on the bench and only put him in if **** gets crazy in the second half as things have gone for us this year.
