Default Dupuis misses 2nd straight practice

Dupuis misses second straight Penguins' practice
    Tuesday, October 27, 2009
    By Dave Molinari, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Winger Pascal Dupuis is missing from the Penguins' practice for the second day in a row.

Yesterday, coach Dan Bylsma said Dupuis did not take part in the workout because of illness. That, presumably, is the reason he is not skating today, either.

Wingers Chris Kunitz and Tyler Kennedy, who were excused from yesterday's session, are back on the ice today.

More details in tomorrow's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Both he and Kunitz can take some shooting lessons together.

Well, we know it's not Coxsackie viral infection. You need hands for that

The unfortunate thing about this is that it's just an illness. He won't be out for long if he's out at all

Ah, ****it! I saw this thread and was hoping maybe Bylsma was forcing him into getting a double hand transplant

Are they sitting him out until they trade him? Detroit is looking for forwards.

That's [HIGH-LIGHT]if[/HIGH-LIGHT] they can trade him, which I strongly doubt.

He brings zero offensive production to the table and he's overpaid. I guess anything's possible, but I would be shocked to see a team actually give up something for Pascal Dupuis.

That's why he's taking up a roster spot here. He lacks a 4th line skill, isn't better than anyone on the 3rd line, is overpaid and tough to trade. We're pretty much stuck with him until at least the trade deadline when we might be able to get a lower paid scrub on a 2 way contract that we can throw to WBS so we can promote someone from there that's better for the 2nd line role
