There's a big difference between the two. One (Parcells is a proven winner) where Bruce is .......

I really hope/don't think Tomlin gave that much "power" of the offense to Arians. I can see he giving Lebeau that much, but not Arians. Lebeau has proven himself to be a top notch defensive coordinator. Arians has done nothing here or anywhere else he's been.
And, Ironically - Parcells was often hated by his players because he was a ****ing hard ***.

Arians - the only reason he has a job here is because Ben likes him.

Well, if your supervisor let you call the shots, wouldn't you like him also? Ben has admitted that he calls most of the plays on the field after Arians suggests plays (or gives him options).

However, Arians (last year for example) is pass happy and admitted the he got pass happy in the Detroit game.

Donīt know if anyone else caught it, but ESPN reported yesterday that itīs basically already been decided that WP will be the starter when heīs ready to go.

Not that ESPN hasnīt been wrong before though...

That's an interesting point, Geo. If Ben's going to be a world class QB, and I don't doubt he has the tools and ability (and the smarts), then let him do his thing. Even if that involves a learning curve of sorts.

Still doesn't make me like Arians any better, but I'd say that Arians with all of his shortcomings is a better option than a guy who micromanages his QB.

Still, it should be Tomlin's call as to what is happening in this respect though.

That will probably be the case, but I can't imagine the two of them not sharing duties for a while once Parker is back.

ALL personnel decisions should be up to the HC.Period.

This is what I was afraid of with Tomlin/Arians. I think regardless of how well Mendy does it all goes back to the 75 yard run in the Super Bowl and it's Willie's job to lose. He is living off that run.

Willie is a sack of **** and if Mendy is forced to the bench in favor of Willie these 2 guys have officially lost their ****ing minds.

Imo, Mendenhall is the starter now. He has earned it, but if Arians utilizes both like he said last year, then they will both get their share of carries.

With the way Mendy is running it isn't fair for him to share the load. I think part of the reason you are seeing success from Mendy is because he is being allowed to "get into" the game. I'm afraid that if you split the carries it will disrupt what is currently working.

It might be a shocker to most but I for one don't think Parker should be the starter. Now I love me some Parker but I love winning more and if Mendy is the one to do that for us then I'm all for him being the starter. Now, go ahead and pick your jaws up off the floor

It's a no-brainer, stick with Delicous (especially against the Stains)! Based on his TD run yesterday, it looks like he may be a bit "faster" than FWP at this point. He got the edge nicely on that run. He's running well! Still concerned with the way he finishes his runs...a bit "too tall" and always concerned him protecting the ball!

Looking good though (despite my fantasy interests in FWP)

I would like to think they will stick with Mendy, no reason to change horses in mid stream. FWP most likely isn't 100% anyways, save him for the Viking game, maybe give him a few late carries next week to spell Mendy and get used to getting hit. Now he is the one who has something to prove, if he wants to be the starter again.

I only hope I am right, otherwise it will leave no doubt that our team is being coached by a bunch of idiots.

Parker has always been handed the starting job. I would love to see him actually have to earn the starting position. On that note, you can rest assured the fast Willie Parker days of starting are all but over.

I don't think there will be much of a decision to make. WP is done, he's now fragile. He won't be able to string together a few games in a row. I would be shocked if he did. This is going to get interesting. We need Mendy to punish fools when we play the Vikings not WP dancing around in the backfield and then dropped for a loss.
