Default NKy's "Hillbilly Thoughts" Of Week #4

Well, today was a tough day for the "good guys"... Lots of problems/meltdowns attributed to our first loss... Here's my useless observations that I notated during the game...

    - Many empty seats to start the game... Typical in Pgh.

    - Batch cannot stand in the pocket forever against Baltimore.

    - Soft pass coverage by the defense to start the game.

    - Troy continues his stellar play on the opening drive. He was the only one to do so.

    - The kicking "mystique" continues at Heinz Field. We got lucky on their opening drive.

    - Batch and Randle El looked good on the Steelers' 2nd posession.

    - Loved watching Spaeth de-helmet Suggs on the play before Mendy's TD run.

    - End of 1st qtr... Defensive pass coverage was soft throughout. 98 yds for Balt.

    - Poor tackling and execution leads to a Baltimore touchdown.

    - So far, Balt is dictating the pace of this game.

    - Batch's accuracy is not there today so far. Maybe he used all his luck last week.

    - Poor execution all around on both sides of the ball during the 1st half.

    - Aggravating game for me so far. Poor fundamentals IMO from the Steelers.

    - Soft defense throughout the entire 1st half leads to a 10-7 Balt lead at halftime.

    - Defensive pass coverage opens the 2nd half just as soft... Aggravating.

    - Nice turnover recovery by the defense. We need more of that today to win.

    - Reed needs to make those FGs in the "open end" of the stadium. He's paid to do so.

    - Ike finally got a pick... "Face" this!...

    - Reed is having an uncharacteristic terrible day with his FG attempts. It's not normal for him.

    - This has been a very ugly game. But also somewhat expected with a division rival.

    - Soft defensive coverage yet again leads to the winning TD for Baltimore.

    - Pathetic game overall... Poor on all facets of execution for the Steelers.

    - 3-1 is still a decent place to be without our "indespencable" player.

    - The coaching staff needs to look at how they prepare for a tough game.

Tough week regardless whatever way you wish to look at it...

... The division is still up for grabs... And we are in a decent place considering we haven't had our "franchise qb" in any play so far...

Buckle-up buckaroos... We got a tough division to conquer....

You forgot to mention the stellar game clock management that even allowed the Ravens a chance to win the game.
