Default Shero, Moorwehouse & Bylsma passing out Donuts & Coffee

Penguins CEO David Morehouse, GM Ray Shero and Head Coach Dan Bylsma passed out donuts and coffee to students waiting in the AE Student Rush line this morning

    ---------

I put up 2 pics, one of Moorehouse and 1 of Bylsma I snagged from the Pens Facebook page. Wish there was one of Shero being a servant

Not at all. You could pencil in most teams in any league though, nobody really does this much close public relations with their fans as far as management/player interaction is concerned. The Pirates do a lot of offseason stuff and charity raising stuff during the season, the Steelers don't do much outside of the couple of token benefits at Training Camp.

It's pretty cool what the Pens do and it should be a model to other teams in every sport to show how you can have player/management public relations without gouging the public for it. Pens did the Free pizza in the student rush lines for years, even having players pass it out and they don't keep star players from interacting either. Sid and Malkin have taken part. The ticket delivery thing.

It's awesome marketing. Whoever is in charge of this stuff for the Pens deserves a raise

It's been a brilliant plan... to an extent. The bad side effect is that it's created an abundance of bandwagon fans by doing this much heavy catering to the younger base. As a collective, Pens fans are probably some of the least educated as far as the 3 teams. They are more hardcore casual fans. Fans that love and breath the Pens that have a hard time explaining why what happened, happened on the ice .

Such is life when you infuse this much youth and bandwagoners in a short period of time. I embrace that some of these people are and will get more knowledgeable over time., It's a great foundation being laid out by the Penguins
