early indications are that Smitty has torn his triceps tendon, this would be a season-ending injury and be a devastating blow for our defense.

    Sad!

    Two reasons

    1. it hurts the defense.

    2. It may mark the end of one my favorite Steelers tenure.

We need depth badly. DL likes to substitute a lot, we are losing our options. What's worse it looks like we have lost Troy too he is invisible out there! Hopefully this offense will get on track and the D won't have to be as dominant as the were the first few games.

The only place I´ve heard this is from the facebook group known as "The Steel Curtain."

Think I´ll wait for a more reliable source.

Agree. Don't want to speculate right now before we get official word from the Steelers.

The story in the OP looks pretty legit to me. You can choose to ignore it but I don't think it's going to help anything.

    Dude what story?

It only mentions Smith leaving the game. Nothing about a torn triceps tendon.

It doesn't say anything in that article about a torn tricep tendon, so I'll choose to ignore it.

Several Pittsburgh Steelers starters injured in game at Miami

    Sporting News

The Pittsburgh Steelers saw three of its starters go down with injuries during Sunday’s 23-22 win at Miami.

Defensive end Aaron Smith suffered a torn triceps, and according to NFL Network’s Jason LaCanfora, Smith could be done for the season. LaCanfora’s tweet: “It doesn’t look good.”

Linebacker LaMarr Woodley left the game with a hamstring injury after being hurt late in the first half. Woodley told LaCanfora that the injury is just a minor tweak and he’s “a go for next week.”
Right tackle Flozell Adams was blocking on a pass when the Dolphins' Randy Starks landed on his left ankle. Adams limped off the field and was replaced by Jonathan Scott.
