    Default Steelers vs. Saints Predictions

Considering our weak pass defense going up against their potent passing offense, and considering that the Saints have given up almost 20 points a game this year, I think this will be a high scoring game. The over/under for this game currently stands at 44 with the Saints currently as a 1 point favorite. I feel we're probably going to see a desperate and angry Saints team after what happened to them against Cleveland. That being said, I still don't think it will be quite enough in this one. I'm just not that impressed with this year's Saints' team. My prediction is Steelers 31 Saints 27.

The Saints have been severely hampered without a solid running game due to injuries, and that's probably the only reason they do not resemble last year's squad IMO...

I agree that it will probably be a shoot-out, and we'd just better hope that Ben & Co. are up to the task... The Saints D is not quite as staunch as last season either IMO, so it may be possible...

We'll obviously see, but I am already developing heartburn thinking about Brees having a field day against our pathetically soft secondary.

... I'm still gonna start Brees on my fantasy team, considering our weak pass D....

-we're good. And I am not as worried....the Saints got bad news today in that Bush doesn't not look likely to play so they don't have that guy with speed to loosen up the our defense. They won't run it against us and I look to Troy to have a big impact on the game.

We'll see what happens. I can't say I know what to expect but I expect a W for the Stillers.

And that right there is the #1 reason why I HATE FF.I could never play anyone against the Steelers.

Honestly,I couldn't care less if Bush did play.Up until last year,he was considered a bust and he's from USC so that should be all I need to say about that. Besides, our run D is stout.

Bush wouldn't do well rushing for sure but in other terms, I'm talking about Bush receiving and on special teams, if he played it would pose a severe problem because him playing would force the defense to play softer and then Brees would probably have a field day against a looser scheme..

Looser as in they would get spread out on D. That takes away any chance to be aggressive.

I started to type out my comment and I had a deja vu moment: I typed roughly the same comment last week.

It depends on which version of the Saints is playing on Sunday night - Jekyll or Hyde. Some games this year they've been convincing, others they've been below par and last week's clips looked fairly appalling.

If they go pass-happy, they have a choice between taking a chance on the secondary sitting back, hitting only after the play's committed and the possibility of the Int monster returning. Should they try to run it, well, let's just say that wouldn't be my first option against us unless it's a 90 ish degree temperature and there's some form of grind-down tactic in play.

I know. I'm just glad Bush isn't likely to play because his speed would make it worse and force our D to respect his speed by spreading our d out even more. Hard enough to deal with Brees and his accurate passing not to mention Bush as a threat to take it to the house on ko/pr's and give them great field position. Glad he is not likely to play. He is actually the key to their team offense besides Brees. Bush, he really does open things up for their offense.

I think the pass rush was sub par last week so I need to see them get Brees. I need 6 sacks and a ton of pressure . Disrupt Brees and we win. I don't think they will get more than 70 yards rushing.
