Default Staal breaks his hand at practice.

Staal has broken hand, expected to be out for a while
    Monday, November 01, 2010
    By Dave Molinari, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Jordan Staal's comeback has been delayed, if not derailed.

Staal left the Penguins' practice at Southpointe today because of a broken hand that is expected to prevent him from playing for at least a few weeks.

An individual familiar with Staal's situation, speaking on condition of anonymity, would say only that he "will be out for a while."

Staal sat out the first 12 games of this season while recovering from a foot infection, and had targeted their game at Dallas Wednesday for his return to the lineup.

The Penguins have said nothing about the precise nature or severity of Staal's injury. Whether they will do so today is unclear.

    I blame Dan Bylsma

Well... we know that Staal didn't break his hand in practice by skating hard to the crease or utilizing anything sembling a powerful shot Still a shame. I was looking forward to seeing a healthy team out there. I saw some stuff mentioned about Staal possibly playing tomorrow against Stars too.

A few of weeks seems like an exaggeration especially for a sport that relies heavily on the use of 2 hands. I'll be surprised if we see him at all in the month of Novemember
