Default Rangers cry over Crosby's "dirty" play

Watching NHL on the Fly on NHL network, they showed an interview in which a reporter asked Brandon Dubinsky about 2 plays one on Avery and one on Ryan Callahan. Dubinsky said Crosby was dirty and thats the kind of plays he likes to get away with and "all that kind of nonsense". Then they said the same thing about the play with Crosby and Avery where Avery landed on his *** while riding Crosby like a dog in heat. I will give them that the Callahan trip was pretty much a slew foot but the avery one was not, and to say that Crosby is a dirty player is just ridiculous. Cry baby rangers, **** off. Im just going to bet they dont remember chopping down Lemiuex like an oak tree back in the day, or the fact that Avery has added rules to the NHL by his conduct of play. **** the rangers, enjoy a long summer *******s.

Found article with Crosby's rebuttal on ESPN.com after seeing comments on TV

Crosby, who extended his point streak to 13 games, got red in the face when told about Dubinsky's comments.

"How many penalty minutes do I have this year if I'm that dirty?" said Crosby, who has 15, including a tripping penalty Monday. "I mean, please. Show me all those dirty plays. It's a battle and he falls. I think Dubie has done his fair share of things out there that are questionable. I guess he's talking again. I'm not surprised.

Rangers. Islanders. Devils. If you want hockey information, ESPNNewYork.com has you covered. Blog

"He's holding me going up ice. I'm trying to push him off. Is it that calculated? I'm trying to get to the net. I'm not worried about that kind of thing. If I tripped him, I tripped him, but am I a dirty hockey player? Come on. I think Dubie is smarter than that."
Crosby is slowly growing some balls. First there was his defense of Fleury to the media against the coaches actions and now this. It's more shocking coming from Crosby who through the first 5 years of his career was an uninteresting robotic interview that never stirred the pot and avoided anything verbally that could be confrontational or even defensive.

At least it makes his interviews a little mroe interesting now

Callahn punched him in the head 2 seconds before the play. It looked like an unintentional slewfoot.

I just find it laughable that they have one of the dirtiest players in all of sports and they have the nerve to call Crosby dirty! And they actually initiated both of those incidents, IMO. Sid doesn't have any kind of track record of playing dirty. He'd be stupid to be that kind of player, since it would land him in the box all the time instead of being out on the ice scoring and setting up goals. Man, there certainly is a good reason why we call that team "the rags"!

Ahhh, that happened a couple of years ago. So the guys kids will be born dizzy! No big deal. Sean Avery would have probably tried to bite his nuts off! Oh wait, biting other guys is more Hartnell's department!
