Default Cowher to Coach again... at Pitt?

Why not? Pitts looking for a new coach... and Cowher recently said:

"I'm open to listen to opportunities," he said. "I'm very comfortable at CBS. I'll keep all my options open. And I'll only answer those questions at the end of the season. I'm not going to comment on any hypothetical situations until the entire season is over."

Nothing here says it has to be an NFL job. How cool would it be to see Cowher roaming the sides of Heinz Field again?

Bill Cowher will not be going around and kissing asses of 17 year old kids on the recruiting trail. No way.

don't forget cowher has 2 girls that play collegiate sports. So im sure he is a little familiar with how recruiting works. I'm pretty sure if he wanted, he could figure out how to do it. Much like DW, his ties to the NFL give him an edge for recruiting. Still i have my doubts at his ability to lead a college football team. It is fun to throw that idea around a bit though.

I don't see it. High profile NFL job for him I think.

He's going to be coaching the Carolina Panthers next year and picking Andrew Luck with the first pick in the draft.

I don't think he would have to kiss anyones ***. I think people would jumping at the chance to play for him.

Cowher's always been a players coach, and knows how to keep people in line. If you had a kid getting offers to play for different schools, wouldn't you think your kid would have a unique opportunity playing under Bill Cowher?

I don't know if Cowher would do it, but I think if he did it would get a lot of attention and he'd probably do it very well.

I don't think he'd have to "kiss anyone's ***" either.... But I also think he'll be the head football coach for the Carolina Panthers next season....

    Why?

... He's got ties in North Carolina, and Fox is gonna be gone.

Recruiting is very cutthroat. There's always *** to kiss when it comes to these kids and wanting them to choose you over somebody else.

Your guess is as good as mine but it's too obvious and they don't have a franchise qb in place. He likes Rivers it wouldn't take that much to make them into a winner they are already almost there. I dunno.

Very true... Who knows... But I do believe we'll see him on the sidelines next season... Somewhere...

Well there is a good chance but I do think his demands are high. Which is why he is not still with the Steelers.

No way, I dont see Cowher fitting into the southern california mindset one bit. Plus, they'll have Andrew Luck next year, if they continue to suck over their next 4 games. Luck IMO is going to be good. He's one of the smartest athletes to ever come into the game, and has a lot of talent, and his numbers this year were very stellar too.
