Default Streak ending in Philly a blessing in disguise

Yeah it sucks giving your rival the ammunition of being able to say they stopped you, but at the same time they do have a good team. It should give our boys a wake up call of what will be in store for them when the playoffs arrive. It might give them that extra bit of motivation when we play them and the other top teams. Trying to get something positive out of a 1 goal loss in December.

It sucks to give up the streak AND first place to the Flyers but I agree that right now they are a little more deep and healthier as we were without Kunitz and Staal which makes a big difference in regards to depth production.

What's nice about this is the streak is over so that weight is off their shoulders

Meh lol I know this thread is all about being positive and I am but when you are on the streak you have all that pressure to perform and to make sure you win that next game.... what is wrong with that? As it is maybe they feel like they can just let off the gas and coast through tomorrows game? I hope not. At least Sid still has a streak going, keep him pressurized imo

It's good that they lost as they need to just accept they aren't as good as Philly this season

I wanna say that the Flyers won the Regular Season series in both 2008-09 and 2007-08 only to have the Pens beat them in the playoffs both seasons

Regular Season bragging rights and accolades means very little. Just ask the Washington Capitals
