    Default Season at a glance

Most of the season our SOS was one of the highest throughout the league, but knew it would go down with our last 2 opponents.

Our season: 7 games against 6 teams with over 500 records (3-4), 1 game against 1 team that finished at 500 (1-0), 8 games against 6 teams with under 500 records (8-0), 6 games against 5 teams that made the playoffs (2-4, glad we played the Falcons in week 1), 3-1 against the NFC.

Some may say we are paper champions.....but now in the playoffs...everyone is 0-0. Wish we would have had more wins against quality opponents.....but at least we can say...we beat the teams we were suppose to and didn't lay an egg against any of them.

Due to winning the division next years opponents now include the Pats (home) and the Chiefs (away) along with the NFC West (Cards & 49er's away and Rams & Seahawks home) and the AFC South (Texans & Colts away, Jags & Titans home)
An 18 game season would give us an AFC East team away and an AFC West team home.

Whenever we play next season, may they be going up against the 7 TIMES WORLD CHAMPION PITTSBURGH STEELERS!!!!!!!

I think we have seattle and 49ers away and cards and rams at home cause in 2007 it was opposite of this.

you may be right, saw it both ways on 2 different sites. but on the 2nd link there is a note that the NFL has made some changes: THE NFL ANNOUNCED that in future years, teams will travel to either Kansas City and San Diego OR to Oakland and Denver when playing the entire AFC West, and to San Francisco and Arizona OR to Seattle and St. Louis when playing the entire NFC West. The actual matchups have not yet been announced, so AFC West and NFC West opponents are subject to change.

Interesting me and another person on here corrected someone else on a previous thread with the same reply I made to your point. I did not know that the NFL made a rule basically saying only 1 west coast trip a year...that is interesting thanks for the info.

well I guess the league finally used some common sense and made it fair so a team would not have to go to SD, SF, Seattle, and Oakland in the same season, so you get a shorter trip with a longer one.

I will be curious to see about the 2 extra games if they add them in, playing 2 more conference games against 2 teams in the conferences that you now only play one now...I am guessing that the 1st and 2nd place finishers will play the same in both other 2 conferences and the 3's and 4's play each other....as compared to the way they used to do it.....it's called parity in the league.

You can be sure that with the changes going on with the league....going to 18 games...the next changes to come will be:

    1. seeding- there is already talk that all 4 games this coming weekend are seeded wrong....3 wildcard teams have better records that the host teams..and the 4th game...both teams have identical records but the host team (Philly) lost to the visiting team (Packers) head to head in the regular season. Winning the division will no longer be the goal....it will be about conference wins...with adding two more conference games...6 games will be divisional games with 8 others being inter conference games.

    2. expanding the playoffs- it is just a matter of time before they expand the playoffs to 16 teams...to go along with seeding..like hockey and basketball....half the league in the playoffs seeded.

    playoffs would look like this

    1. Pats host 8. Raiders
    2. Steelers host 7. Chargers
    3. Ravens host 6. Chiefs
    4. Jets host 5. Colts
