I wouldn't mind it at all... But in reality, we know that the Steelers rarely go after FA's like this...

you're right, there is no way the Steelers pursue him. Asomugha will become one of the highest paid defensive players in NFL history once free agency starts up again.

I thought the skins only over paid for bad free agents. Or do they just become bad after they sign with the skins?

I heard on some DC news station that only London Fletcher has made a pro bowl after signing with the skins. Pretty amazing if you think about their signings.

Asomugha will be pretty tempting for them....

But Dan Snyder is so cautious and frugal... Sorry, I typed that in a parallel universe...

What? Taylor is solid. Well actually he would be an upgrade on Taylor you are right but we need an upgrade on the other side. Then again Taylor might leave in FA so yeah. Either way we need help at CB but it isn't going to be this guy.

    hypothetical question:

let's say we could sign Asomugha but that would mean we couldn't re-sign Ike Taylor and LaMarr Woodley.

    would you still sign Asomugha?

Go with Woodley. Pittsburgh's strength is up front. Having top notch dbs would be a total luxury.

according to STATS LLC Asomugha was targeted on just 33 pass attempts this season, allowing only 13 completions for 205 yards with no touchdowns.

that's a pretty darn good stat for a CB!

You're right... They are definitely good numbers... Even moreso why we'll never get him along with the price tag....
