Default Anybody have video of the hold on the TD return?

I am hearing a lot of people yapping about the "acting job" and I think it's because of the ****ty coverage and Dan Dierdork's constant babbling.

I think I saw the hold earlier and then Allen (I think) went down but the stupid coverage and commentary didn't even show the hold.

Just looking at the DVR of that play, the Ravens' player appears to have a brief hold at the start of his contact with Allen, which he then shifts to Allen's shoulders as he pushes him over. As Allen falls, you can clearly see that the fabric of the shoulder of Allen's jersey is stretching because the Ravens' player has a grip on it.

Sorry I don't have video capture, but I did take this still of the video.

here's the deal, the replay all these football analysts are critiquing is the shot from the end zone. what they are not doing is slowing down the footage taken from the sideline (the view we saw live on tv). if they would, they would clearly see a hold and a jersey being pulled on the steelers outside shoulder area...the part of the body closest to the side line. you can't see it by the end zone angle which apparently is the only angle they are going by. if i were going to run my trap about bad calls, i would at the very least be completely informed. not like that don't have the tools to do that. i mean really, i'm sitting in front of my tv at home and can see it as clear as day.

Any Ratbird fan *****ing about refereeing is an idiot. The Rats lost that game all on their own!

And quite frankly, for every call they want to ***** about I'll bet I could produce a more impactful call/non-call against the Steelers. THE OFFICIATING WAS HORRIBLE!

Just saw this again on ESPN and sure enough the hold was well before all the video the media is showing.

It was a blatant jersey grab and a couple steps later Allen and he got tangled up again and that's when the "acting job" happened.

The media will cry about anyone not name the Pittsburgh Steelers... They blatantly are complaining about something that they **** well know wasn't what was called but there's become this tradition in recent years in associating the Steelers with having the refs in their pockets ever since SB XL

I've gotta say I'm pretty baffled and surprised that the media is off and running with this whining about the holding penalty on that return.

When I saw it live I shouted "HOLD!!!" I mean how blatant does it have to be? Will Allen was BLATANTLY held on that play and it directly effected the play. If he wasn't held, he would've pushed the Raven returner out of bounds. It boggles the mind that people are whining about that. Plus, I believe there was another hold on that play as well.

Like I stated earlier, it's obvious the officiating was horrendous yesterday. But that wasn't one of the bad calls.

Bad calls did go both ways but last time I checked the Steelers had about 30 more yards of penalties. And I'm still not convinced Ben fumbled the ball.

My favorite is that complete moron that writes for Yahoo Chris Chase.

His original post took Deshea Townshend to task for flopping.
He's since changed it but is still getting blasted in the comments section.
I'm not putting a link because no one should ever click on his blogs if they don't have to.

This pic is good! When I saw this play a little while ago on ESPN it was BLATANT! but they kept showing the 3-4 seconds of video that happened "AFTER" the blatant hold!
