Couple of tricks for an oncoming snowstorm.

Before the snow comes, pull your windshield wipers out - flip them up so they're off the windshield. Makes cleaning the windshield easier when there's a foot of snow on it.

Also, buy a can or two of silicone spray - spray those windows down a bit before the snow. Makes cleaning them easier.

I keep a few cans of de-icer in the trunk. Works wonders during the now season when it's warm, then cold, then warm, etc. and you wake up one morning and find your car is a glazed donut.

Better yet... Throw a spare bedsheet over the windshield, then just pull the whole thing off with all the snow and ice...

At some point in America, the common thought should have been that every house had to have a two car garage. You would still need some tricks while parked at work, shopping, etc.

Remote starts should be more common than they are also. They won't clean up a vehicle with a foot of snow on them, but the heat may loosen up the snow for easier cleaning.
