Default Did Ben have an off game ?

Ben did a lot of good things today with running for a touchdown, first downs and what have you but, he seemed off today with his passing or no ?

You could tell Ben knew the offense got screwed when the officals called a time out for a measurement. That's messed up and there went the one yard sneak. And that particular spot of the ball was shabby at best. The ref pushed the ball back a half yard.

This guy is incredible! Even with the off day, he always does the right things in crunch time!

That pass to Brown at the end was money..... Brown also made a nice catch.

Well the Jets secondary is pretty much the best in the league. Taking away Bens long ball is crippling. Taking away his center wasn't visibly a problem but I don't think it helped anything. He has played badly in the cold before. I don't think he likes the gloves. Not sure if that was an issue tonight just a stab in the dark. He is an amazing QB tho and we are lucky that we have other really good players on the team. Brown really put the team over the edge with the kick return and cath to ice it.

And that's what matters most! Other teams can have QBs that throw for big numbers but never win championships. I'll take a guy that just knows how to win and doesn't care about stats.

How many of Ben's passes did the Jets drop?

I would venture to say that Ben did have an off day with his passing. But, his decision making was spectacular. Even the two INTīs were not all that bad as they happened fairly deep in Jets territory. They were good chances worth taking, IMO.
However, a few passes were off. Attribute it to a bad day, his illness..whatever. No biggie anymore...good guys win.

I definitely seemed off today, and yeah, that **** hoculi calling for a measurement after moving the ball back a half yard was bull****. Losing Pouncey seemed to affect whatever rhythm Ben had been building up to that time. I look for him to have a helluva game in Dallas. He sure is clutch in critical situation regardless of his overall performance may be. This is the best season of his career. Hopefully he gan give us one more winning performance this season.

Pouncey out at very least took some plays off the board. We can give a lot of thanks to Mendy tonight. He helped build up that cushion that we really did end up needing.

There is NO QB that I'd rather have in the league on the Steelers than Ben Roethlisberger.Period.

Why don't you shove all the passes that Ben threw that the jets dropped up your A**! I'm sure that we could fit several more than than you could ever imagine.......

Ben's passer rating was 35.5, I'll bet it has been a long time since he had a rating that low...but when you need a QB to make a clutch play on 3rd and 6 to seal the win, who would you rather have than Ben?

    Exactly.

    Ditto to Beezy

The Jets have a great defense, but Ben just knows how to win. He has even admitted himself that he knows he may not put up the best numbers, but all he cares about is winning....which he does. When I heard him say that, I was pretty surprised at how unselfish that sounds. A win is a win no matter who puts what kind of stats up.

Besides......the real issue here, is that we have gone two consecutive weeks without hearing Polamalu's name very much. He has been really sucking lately.

Ben did have an off day. He was simply off on a number of throws (like that throw to Heath on the opening drive that was a catch, anyways, IMO, even though the refs ruled otherwise, didn't matter).

But at the same time he did make some clutch throws (and runs).

But he's going to have to play better in two weeks, IMO. He was pretty fortunate he didn't have 3 or 4 INT's today. When the Steelers do PA, Ben NEEDS to throw the ball RIGHT AWAY to Wallace. Trust him, he'll probably be open. Ben hesitated on that deep throw to Wallace today and Revis probably should've had an INT, but if Ben threw it right away that's a TD.

He had the two underthrown balls, the second for the pick. He missed heath wide open, where Heath almost made a great catch. We still scored td's on two of those series. If he leads Sanders and not behind him, my heart wouldnt have been beating so fast near the end of the game. But he did at the begining and at the end of the game make enough play for us to win
