    Default Brown

I thought he deserved his own thread. Really put the team over the top with his last kick return and then clutch catch to ice it at the end. It was a good draft this year with so many rookies chipping in. Cheers to the rook!

Like I said earlier, he's had a MUCh bigger impact than Sweed ever did.

Give the guy credit, for a rookie - he looks like he's shown up to play.l

IMO,Sweed should NEVER be used in a comparison with ANYONE other than the guy that serves me fries with my Big Mac.

    Agreed.
The AFCCG is a pretty big game for rookies to be doing great things.
Brown came up big for us today and it will only build his confidence for the future.
    Hat is off to him.

Sanders made at least one nice catch and has been contributing for a while now. I feel pretty good about this offense going forward. Young, fast and talented.

Somehow I don't think the Super Bowl is gonna be too BIG for Brown or Sanders. Brown may get overlooked nationally for tonights contributions, but not in SteelerNation.

Ha ! nice one ! He's probably the McDonald server that always drops the food while handing it out the drive through.

I do wonder if Sweed will get any consideration for next seasons team ? Do the Steelers look at a guy like him of just wasting developmental time for players that could actually contribute ? I think Sweed is done and will be nothing more than a guy that should improve someday but never does. Didn't we have guys like that under Cowher ? Blackwood or some other receivers ?

It looks like Brown is pulling ahead of Sanders at this point. Hopefully Brown's clutch plays serve as motivation for Sanders. Not trying to knock Sanders at all, I just think it's a great situation to have these guys pushing each other.

I don't agree with this I think Sanders is a firm #3 right now. It's a difference in style and Sanders has done more throughout the season. I think Sanders may be taking over for Hines even. But Brown is coming along nicely. I am not worried about Hines taking a reduced role next year any more.

Brown and Sanders are both here because of Smokey's off the field problems. The Steelers are going to the Super Bowl largely because of these two, while Smokey isn't. Their attitude and effort has more than exceeded expectations. Thank you Smokey.

Agree with Les on this one. Besides, 10 X 0 = 0 so comparing him to Sweed says nothing.

I'm a huge Hines fan and don't think you ever replace him. But the thought of having Wallace, Sanders and Brown together along with Heath for a lot of years is a ****ed satisfying feeling.
