    Default Prevent Offense?

Does anyone else think that the Jets' "comeback" in the second half was as much due to Tomlin and Arians playing not to lose as it was effective play by the Jets? The "wind the clock" mentality dictated run, run, run, followed by a punt. The ball just kept going back to the visitors, and it was every bit as much due to the Steelers' very predictable conservative play calling as it was to defensive adjustments by Lardbutt and staff.

Yet another indication of why you do not find football coaches at Mensa meetings.

Sorry, and you may have a point about the offense, but I refuse to say anything negative today.

Today is a day for celebrating what we've done and what we've accomplished.

The job got done and that's what counts.

In the spirit of that, let's face a few facts:

We played the second half of the Rattards game.

We played the first half of the Jets game.

We only play one half or the other in the Peckers game and our score in the Lombardi Open stays at 6.

We have one more game, period.

Whether we win or lose that game is entirely up to us.

We are a better team than the Peckers.

We are easily the more experienced team.

No matter what the outcome of the game is, the result will be on us, win or lose.

The bull's eye is on OUR back, not theirs.

The mandate for the Steelers in Super Bowl XLV is to play a complete, 60 minute game.

A complete, 60 minute game by the Steelers will win Lombardi #7, period!

Finish strong, Steelers! This is the last game of the season, so make it count!

I did notice the time from the clock was falling off in chunks. The Jets needed to use up their timeouts.

Our offense was playing to not make turnovers at the end and who kows, maybe it unfolded exactly how they wanted it to.
