I heard he was signing. 1 year tho I guess this is it. This is why we need football this year. After this year it will be a new era. I expect a lot of guys will retire with DL.

I'm sure Woodley isnt too happy about this (even though, I'd be honored to be tagged a "franchise player" for the Steelers at LB, however monetarily speaking...not so much)! Seems to be the right move though given the current situation with the CBA. I hope he understands that and doesnt take it personally. He'll get his payday soon enough!

Woodley don't mind. He seems to know that he is going to get a long term deal went a New CBA is agreed to. Glad to see LeBeau has made it official now. Time to get him some new toys to play with.

Yeah, I was unaware of this too, but the ESPN report made it sound like he's been on 1yr deals for a few years now??? But then again, consider the source

Either way, great to have him back... I'm sure he didnt want his legacy to end with a "lack-luster" defensive effort in a SB.

I am sure he is fine with it, he seems like a good sport and I am sure the franchise tag is worth a **** ton of money. It's always possible they can make a deal and take him off the tag too.

If anything, Wood should take a look at the careers of former Steelers players (especially LB's) after leaving for the paycheck (not to mention, the ones that just came back lol!). He should be honored that the organization wants to keep him around, even if it postpones the "big' payday!

PG says he's been signing one year deals for a while now.

The rest of the assistants sign 2 year deals.

LeBeau said in an interview on the CBS pregame show that he wasn't sure how long he would hold up, so he was gonna take it one year at a time.

Since LeBeau returned in 2004, he has signed 1 year deals. His decision.

Yea it's a real shame his salary will go from 1/2 Mill to 10 Mill. Even if he played just 1 year and retired, he'd be set for life.

POLITICIANS AND DIAPERS SHOULD BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON!
